County plans to expand Shaw wetlands

As part of a plan by Fayette County Commissioners to purchase additional property to expand Shaw’s wetlands, a resolution was recently signed to help secure a grant for the project. The Clean Ohio Fund-Green Space Conservation Program provides financial assistance for the conservation of green spaces. The resolution authorizes Brigitte Hisey, a natural resources specialist in the Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation District, to apply for the funds and take care of the necessary documents.
