Halloween parade and ghost tours

Halloween weekend offers a variety of fun activities around Fauquier.

A parade for children and pets will take place on Saturday morning on Main Street in Warrenton. The Fauquier Historical Society will offer ghost tours in the city on Saturday evening.

Other options include a car show, a bluegrass concert, tree planting at Sky Meadows State Park, a fall community festival in Warrenton, and the season finale of the Flying Circus Airshow near Bealeton. .

Sky Meadows State Park

Volunteers will join the Piedmont Environmental Council, Friends of Rappahannock, Goose Creek Association, John Marshall Soil & Water Conservation and We Plant Trees for the two-day event. Volunteers will plan 1,060 tublings of native trees. Tools, snacks, water and free entry provided to volunteers. Registration requested.

Halloween parade
10 a.m. on Saturday, October 30
Main Street, Warrenton

The kids will gather at 9:45 am on Fifth Street and Main Street, then proceed to the Warrenton Farmers Market. A costume contest will follow. Trick or Treat at the farmers market and participating businesses. Children of all ages and pets welcome. To free. Bad weather would cancel the event.

Fall Festival Auto Show
10 a.m. on Saturday, October 30
American Legion Post 72
345 Legion Parkway, Warrenton

The event will include trophies, door prizes, 50/50 raffle, vendors, trunk or treat, and children’s costume contest. Proceeds benefit the American Legion Post 72 and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Fall community festival
12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 30

Warrenton Baptist Church will host the festival, with hay rides, pony rides, vendors, games, farm animals, bouncy houses, food, music and other activities. To free.

Fauquier History Museum
10 Ashby Street, Warrenton

The Historical Society of Fauquier offers tours departing from the Fauquier History Museum every 15 minutes, with interpreters telling the true stories of the spirits that haunt the buildings and alleys of the old town. Tickets: $ 15 with prior registration required.

Gloria’s Listening Room

The group of five members incorporates elements of blues, swing, jazz and rock into traditional bluegrass. The band – Josh Ungar on mandolin, Mike Shade on guitar, Evan Sands on banjo, Dan Henderson on violin, and Taylor Gerber on bass – first performed as a group at Delfest Academy 2017. Tickets: $ 20, free for children 12 and under accompanied by their parents or guardians. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Bar with concessions available.
