State MMA Championship organized by the Telangana association


Hyderabad: The Telangana Mixed Martial Arts Association (TAMMA) hosted the 8th Telangana State Level Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship 2021 on November 27-28 at Chaderghat Victory Stadium, attended by around 200 athletes from all over the state.

The winners of the MMA India sanctioned championship would be selected for the Bangalore Open MMA Championship. The tournament was organized by the International Fighting Club, Malakpet, whose secretary is Adil Bin Ishaq.

IFC head coach and founder of TAMMA, who is also coach of the Indian team, Shaik Khalid said:. He added that the heavyweight fighters that Telangana lacked are now ready to compete in the championship in Bangalore.

Speaking of the heavyweight athletes, Khalid remarked “they had an incredible national level fight at the state championship. Our team which is already strong and now it is stronger. I hope the Telangana team will win as many medals as possible for the nationals.

The main guests invited to the championship include international karate champion Syeda Falak, international table tennis champion Naina Jaiswal, Mr. World Mir Mohtesham Ali Khan, AIMIM MPs Jaffer Hussain Meraj and Ahmed Balala, the government representative de Telangana and former Minister Venugopal Chary and Minister V Srinivas Goud for sports.
