DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District is excited to kick off its fifth annual Families Outdoor Series with Snowshoeing Adventure at Law Farm. The goal of the Families Outdoors Series is to provide families with fun, active and engaging opportunities to enjoy the outdoors together. Our snowshoe adventure will take place on Wednesday, February 23 (February 24 is the snow date) from 1-3 p.m. at the Law Farm. This program is aimed at young people aged 5 and over, parents, grandparents, friends… who want to do some snowshoeing and go outside.

The snowshoe adventure is always a good time. It’s designed to offer something for both the beginner and the snowshoe expert, so all are welcome. We will be working with the Department of Maine’s Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Division to add another layer of fun and learning to our snowshoe outing. Private Lands Wildlife Biologist Joe Roy and Wildlife Resources Supervisor Chuck Hulsey will guide us all as we search for and identify Maine wildlife tracks in the snow.

The PCSWCD looks forward to seeing you at the Law Farm for this fantastic event. Places are limited and you must pre-register to join us. There is a small supplement per person, which helps support our educational offerings.

To register, visit our website at www.piscataquisswcd.org, our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/www.piscataquisswcd.org, call us at 207-564-2321 ext. 3 or email [email protected]

We look forward to sharing the outdoors with you.
