Water is not the only element necessary for the growth of your trees, plants and vegetables. The health of your plants depends on the soil they are planted in and the fertilizer you use to help them grow! Join our free virtual gardening course, Soil and fertilizer management at SCV, Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m.

This class focuses on the soils found in the DMC, the one you have in your yard, and the best fertilizers for your landscape. Set up your trees, plants and vegetables to succeed. Sign up to learn why having healthy soil and managing fertilizers is key to the well-being of your landscape from our expert teacher, John Windsor, a Certified Arborist and Certified Nurseryman in California.

“The Soils and Fertilizers class provides information about plant nutrition and building healthy soils in the landscape,” said Tim Wheeler, owner and chief instructor of The Wheeler Company. “These are essential elements for improving the drought tolerance of plant material and optimizing the water efficiency of the landscape.”

Participants can expect the course to last approximately one hour, followed by a question and answer session. And don’t worry if you missed the live class – all presentations are recorded and can be viewed on our website one week after the class.

Gardening classes are free, but participants must register before the event. To register for the Soil and Fertilizer Management course in the SCV course or to view our 2022 course schedule, visit:
