Members of the IPA visit the Railway Police Central Office

LAHORE: Members of the International Police Association (IPA) from the Punjab region paid a visit to the Central Police Office Railways on Friday.

PSO at IG Railways Umar Maqbool briefed IPA members on the structure and modus operandi of the Railway Police. Later, IPA members and IG Rao Sardar Ali Khan Railway Police exchanged views on different topics of common interest.

IG Railway Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan on the occasion advised the members to come up with a plan to streamline the functioning of the IPA Punjab region. It is pertinent to mention here that the IPA is a friendship organization for members of police forces around the world. It provides opportunities to travel, learn, meet colleagues and make friends through networking and shared interest groups. It is considered the largest association in the world with over 372,000 members worldwide.

IG Visits CPO: IG Punjab paid a surprise visit to various branches of the Central Police Office (CPO) on Friday. He inspected the branches located on the different floors and inquired about the functioning of the staff. Additionally, IG Welfare and Finance briefed IG Punjab on Welfare Branch affairs while AIG Development briefed it on development works at different floors. IG Punjab has ordered the officers to complete the upgrade works of the police central office as soon as possible in line with the modern standard.
